How we work
Nobody is bad at math
Math builds on itself more strictly than any other subject. Miss three weeks with pneumonia in seventh grade and the next five years arrive in a language you never learned — which feels exactly like being bad at it.

I'm 45 and can't do fractions.
That's an extremely common starting point here, and not a reflection of your intelligence. Adults usually move faster than teenagers because they know why they're there.
Will I be in a class with teenagers?
No. We work with adults only, one to one or in small adult groups.
I get panicky doing math.
Math anxiety is real and well documented. We work slowly, without timed pressure at the start, and build confidence before speed. It isn't therapy, and if anxiety goes well beyond math we'll suggest speaking to a professional.
Can you get me through the GED math section?
We prepare you thoroughly, but no honest tutor guarantees a pass. We'll tell you plainly whether your test date is realistic.
How long until I catch up?
